On The 13th Day of HalloweenSunday, October 13, 2024 On the thirteenth day of Halloween, my true love gave to me 13 phantoms floating, 12 eyeballs a'staring, 11 Red Eye Louie Vodquilas, 10 fireball spells whirling, 9 hellhounds snarling, 8 ghosts a hauntin', 7 witches stirring, 6 skeletons clacking, 5 crows a'murderin', 4 ghouls a'dancin', 3 spiders spinning, 2 zombies running, and a vulture in the Halloween tree! And just like that, it's Sunday. I definitely feel cheated out of my weekend time with my guys when I have to work on Saturdays, but it is what it is, at least for now. Last night, we ended up just ordering a pizza rather than eating at Don Chuy's, since Steve was starving and evidently was combing my house with a fine-tooth comb trying to find something edible lol. And it was fine, the pizza was perfect, and we had lunch today at Rio Grande, so I got my Mexican fix (both the food and the waiters) this weekend anyway.We went down to the 49 Flea Market, across from Paul B. Johnson State Park, this morning after breakfast, and it was interesting seeing what's changed and what hasn't. We all saw several things we liked and/or wanted, but we were all too broke to get any of it. I'm hoping this new venture Ian and I have embarked upon will start paying off soon! Anyway, after lunch, we came home and Steve and Ian departed until next weekend. Next weekend is the Barn Sale in "Purvis" (it's still in Hattiesburg, but it's a Purvis address), so we plan to attend that. Not that we'll have any money to buy anything then either lol. But at least it's free to look!
