This weekend just flew by, sorta. I had to work 10am-8pm Saturday, open to close, and that time, while it went fairly fast, just wasn't fast enough since I wasn't able to be with Steve and Ian. The rest of the weekend was gone like a fart in the wind. We had thought about trying to have lunch with the boys, Shane and Blaise, yesterday, but time got away from us and we just grabbed a quick bite at Taco Bell (image of Steve eating his Nachos Bellgrande below). After Steve left yesterday, I took a few pictures out in the yard. Two pictures are of my waterfall hydrangea blooms, and then there's a picture of the morning glory that grows near and on the waterfall. Midafternoon and the morning glory was still open! That says a lot about our weather changes right now! Autumn seems to have finally arrived! And then there's an image of Cooper scoping out the yard. He rarely likes to go outside, so it's good to see him out there for a bit at least!
I've decided I want to get into doing water color paintings, so I'd ordered a kit from Walmart. It arrived this weekend, and the sticker on the back is so amusing. It's meant to say "Made in China", but their translator evidently has dyslexia, so it says "Meda in China" instead. Hilarious!
The first four images below are of me and then us. I'd taken a picture from earlier this month or last month and asked ChatGPT to make it look like a watercolor painting. I think it doesn't truly understand watercolor, because it filled in too much space. Well, upon reflection, I guess it does look more like watercolor than I originally thought. So maybe not too bad of a rendering after all! Then I asked it to make me into an oil painting, and I think it did an excellent job with that. The next image is of Steve, Ian, and myself at Lowe's from last weekend that I also asked ChatGPT to watercolor. The one after that, I'd asked ChatGPT to fill in the background with Vermont in autumn, still using watercolor, and that's what it gave me! Really not too bad at all!
The next 2 images are from Friday and Saturday. Friday I had forgotten to take my blood pressure pills before leaving for work, so when it was slow and we had enough help, I ran home real quickly to take them. On the way, my odometer on the new car hit 80,000 miles, so of course I had to snap an image! And then there's a ceramic Halloween tree that I saw yesterday at Home Depot. I fell in love with it, but way too broke these days to be able to purchase it!
Anyway, that's it for today! I hope everyone has a fantastic day and I'll talk to you again sometime soonish! Love you all!
George
