Two Goats and a Donkey!

Monday, February 17, 2025

Happy Monday to ya! It's been quite a while since I last updated this blog, and I apologize for that! I think I got used to not doing this thing when I stopped in November, and it's been difficult getting back into it. But I'm going to try to be more proactive in doing this. We're into the second half of February already. It's crazy how fast time flies these days! Anyway, this past weekend was Valentine's, and I tried doing right by my guys. I got each of them a huge Valentine's card, a Valentine's bear with 2025 on them, 2 boxes of chocolates, and a dozen roses. I also got Steve a pack of the Duke Cannon lip balm (he loves those) and Ian a vintage Barbie doll. I also got a sheet cake from Walmart and had 3 interwoven hearts drawn on top. And of course I had to get ice cream to go with the cake! Hopefully my guys enjoyed the holiday!

Last night and today, I've been fighting with issues with an SSL cert I wanted to add to the domain so that it would be a secured site and not scare people off when they see "Not Secure" listed on the web browser they use. Today I was off because I'll be working 4 10-hour days later this week. But I didn't get to enjoy my day because of dealing with this issue with GoDaddy's tech support literally all day. Last night, it was 8pm through midnight, then again 7:30am this morning through 7:30pm this evening. My whole day was wasted trying to get this shit done. But it is done, the website is accessible again, and all is well with the world. Ha. As much as it can be with President Musk and his little monkey Trump in charge of things.

Anyway, I also have started a subset of this blog, one with just my antiques. It's available at www.twogoatsandadonkey.com/antiques. You'll find a page for each type of antique I own (eventually), as I go through photoshoots with each item or set of items. It's a project I'm very much looking forward to doing. Also, I'm starting up a little side company, called Relics & Rare Antiquities, where I will be buying and selling antiques and rare items. I used to enjoy when Steve and I did that back in the day when we maintained a booth at Marketplace Antiques. There will soon be a link to that website, although I'm not hosting it on GoDaddy after all the trouble I've had this weekend.

The pictures below include some from last month, some from earlier this month, as well as some from this weekend. The ones through the windshield of my van are showing how some ice crystals formed on it when we had that cold snap. There are pictures of myself, of Ian, of Steve, of course of Cooper, and other things. The monkey lamp hanging on the wall was one of my more creative and whimsical ideas for lighting up the living room. I've since added another monkey, one that faces the first one, but didn't take a picture of it for the blog. I know, shame on me! Oh, and that header at the top is the Facebook AI's idea of what I'd look like driving lol.

For those that enjoy it, here's the eye candy page. Viewer Beware! There are some very adult pictures in there!

I hope everyone's Monday has been a great one! Until next time, have a fantastic evening! Love you all!

George
