Two Goats and a Donkey!![]() Thursday, August 20, 2026 Howdy Folks! I bet y'all thought you were finally rid of me for good! And you damn near were! It's taken a lot of attempts to finally get this post out! Let's see, my last one was almost a year ago, back on November 3, 2025. Lots of things have transpired since then, but I won't attempt to give you a complete rundown on the last 9 months. OMG, I just realized that last entry I was talking about wanting to move to New Mexico - and I've gotten absolutely nowhere on that quest! But then again, what did I think was going to happen? I can't just pull up roots and run off to another state. There are money issues and relationship issues and all kinds of issues that get in the way of that dream. Of course, I could just live in the wilderness, eat off the land, not worry about money or anything else except survival. But I imagine that might get pretty old pretty quick. And of course, I myself am old - I turned 59 just 3 months ago. Sixty is looming on that horizon, and I think I'd be of sound body to live off the land in New Mexico??? Lord the delusions are strong with me sometimes. I swear I'm just looney toons (no copyright infringement intended). So, enough with all that whining (or whinging as the British spell it). Let me tell you about this week! I'm currently on vacation (staycation) from work, and it's a much-needed rest. I actually started my vacation yesterday, and Ian and I went on a little adventure down to the nearby state park, Paul B. Johnson. We had been wanting to go swimming for a while now, so we figured what's better than a nice little lake swim mid-week when probably not many people would be around? And my oh my, not only were not many people around, there was absolutely no one around! We had the entire place to ourselves, and weren't mad about it. Even though a lifeguard on duty may have been a good thing lol, but we survived without drowning or without succumbing to heat stroke, although we both got minor sunburns on our shoulders. Sunscreen was mentioned, but not until it was way too late hehe. Thanks Shane for suggesting it anyway! It would have been a great idea had we thought of it before! Haha! Anyway, I'll be posting pics below, of course. The first 2 pics are of Cooper at home and then myself at work last Saturday when I forgot my white button down shirt and had to wear my civilian shirt instead. Then the next ones are at the Park, and then one last one of Cooper Boo. Gotta have his handsome little face gracing this page! Steve of course was not in town, since it wasn't the weekend, so he was unable to join us. But Ian and I had fun anyway! Should have gotten some pics of the two of us in the water itself, but didn't think about it until afterwards! And of course what post would be complete without the Hot Guys Page for the male eye candy!? So enjoy that as well! Ok lovers, stay happy, stay sane, stay safe in these troubling times until the most corrupt presidential (and I use that term loosely) administration in history is itself history! Love you all, and until next time, peace out! |
