Two Goats and a Donkey!Sunday, September 29, 2024 Sunday evening is upon me as I write this post! It's been a long, tiresome weekend and I am going to bed as soon as I get this done! So I need to hurry lol. The boys didn't come down this weekend since I had to work yesterday (ended up being an 11 hour shift) and because Steve had a funeral to attend today. So with that combination, there was no reason for Steve and Ian to come down. I sure did miss them! I think Cooper may have as well! So, as I said above, I ended up working 11 hours yesterday. And oh my word, was it busy! I was able to get away for about 45 minutes to come home and see to Cooper - keep in mind a good 30 of that 45 minutes was driving however. So I wasn't home for very long at all. Still, I got Cooper's crate cleaned real quick, ate a quick meal, and managed to cuddle with him for a short time. When I got back to work, I helped the guys try to get caught up, but that's when we became super busy, so we ended up having to stay 45 minutes late trying to get restocked. Definitely was not a lot of fun! On the other hand, time did fly by pretty fast! I'd originally thought about taking Cooper with me, but I'm really glad I didn't try! It would have been a pain trying to get a crate over there and set up, plus there's the fact he still won't pee and poop where he's supposed to - ideally outside, but he hates going out, so if he would just do it on his puppy pads, I'd be happy. But nope, he won't! Today, I slept a little late - didn't get up until 7am! It's been a fairly productive day. I went to town to get some groceries and other things I needed, got a bigger crate out of the storage shed for Cooper, since he's pretty much outgrown the one he's had since June, and did a few other things. One thing I'd like to do this week is get one of my skellies chained up. The one I have in mind is currently leaning against one of the dragon head pedestals at the end of my walkway. I'd like to take him to the front of the pedestal with those Halloween "chains" I got from Dollar Tree and chain him to it. My musical interest has expanded slightly to a new-to-me song called "Take Me To Church" which, evidently, is 11 years old lol. I'd never heard it until recently, and now I'm obsessed with it. The song and video details the struggles of those marginalized in countries not friendly to LGBTQ persons, especially Russia (evidently the song/video was aimed at Russia's intolerance of homosexuality). It's a dark song, the video is even darker, but it fits my moods these days lol. Not saying that I'm in a dark mood, but it's definitely not light and rainbows here lately. Maybe dark does say it all when it comes to my mood. Images! I seem way too excited about this, don't I? Haha! Anyway, the first 2 are of Cooper, of course. You, gentle reader, should be familiar with Cooper by now! The next 4 images are of 2 Crittenden bourbons that we managed to get a few cases of at work. Note they are Mothman and Bo-Ry-Ru (Rougarou, aka Loup-garou, or werewolf). The next 8 are of my Halloween decorations outside. The last of those 8 is where I took the white pumpkin and put it in the lap of one of the skellies. Oh, and that pumpkin was a volunteer that grew from my compost pile out back from last Halloween! Next we have 7 more images of Cooper looking all cutesy and stuff. After Cooper are 4 images of a DIY hanging vampire, which I may attempt to do, as long as it doesn't get vandalized like my last DIY did. Next is an image of one of my perennial hibiscuses that is blooming at this time of year! I guess the temps dropped enough (from the 90's into the mid to high 80's) that it felt like blooming again! And lastly, a screenshot I took from a video meme that is hilarious! Melissa Etheridge is one of my all-time favorite recording artists, so of course it meant something to me! As before, I separated the male model pictures onto a second page, click here to see the eye candy. Enjoy! Ok gang, this boy has got to get some sleep! Have a great night and here's to October just 2 days away! Love y'all! George |
