Two Goats and a Donkey! Thursday, September 12, 2024 Happy Thursday, everyone! One day closer to the weekend! And the day after Hurricane Francine swept ashore and passed through Hattiesburg as a tropical storm! While I've seen power outages for a good many people around me, including my family in the Magee area, there was relatively little impact other than a lot of rain and some high winds here. I had a potted plant blown over. And it wreaked havoc on my sweet almond bush by the porch steps. Otherwise, I've yet to see any bad effects. Of course, on my way to work may be another story! But we shall see.So, Tuesday night, there were the debates between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. I think it's safe to say that she mopped the floor with him. Her strategy, aside from attempting to hit actual topics of interest, was to get under his skin, and she did so flawlessly! He was totally unhinged in many of his statements, including a ridiculous statement that undocumented immigrants are eating cats and dogs in Springfield, Ohio. Like, what the hell? I commented on this to one of my coworkers yesterday, and it turns out (he's a Trumper) that they totally believe this! He tried to show me a video of what was supposedly an immigrant woman eating a cat on the sidewalk. But of course the video wasn't working properly. Uhm, ok.
