On The 20th Day of HalloweenSunday, October 20, 2024 On the twentieth day of Halloween, my true love gave to me 20 black cats, 19 jack-o-lanterns a'burnin', 18 shrines of lies, 17 skulls a'flamin', 16 Wednesday Addams a'dancin', 15 bonfires a'burnin', 14 shirtless sorcerers casting, 13 phantoms floating, 12 eyeballs a'staring, 11 Red Eye Louie Vodquilas, 10 fireball spells whirling, 9 hellhounds snarling, 8 ghosts a hauntin', 7 witches stirring, 6 skeletons clacking, 5 crows a'murderin', 4 ghouls a'dancin', 3 spiders spinning, 2 zombies running, and a vulture in the Halloween tree! And Sunday evening is upon us already! As you can tell, we survived last night - the werewolf/chupacabre/hellhound that we saw did not follow us home and did not devour us in the middle of the night. Still don't know what the hell that thing was, but it's not something I'll forget any time soon!
Anyway, after breakfast we went to Home Depot, then to Sam's (Ian went to Walmart), then had lunch at Lost Pizza, before running by Five Below for Ian to run in and get something. After that, it was home and time to load up Steve's truck with the Sam's items, then for them to head home. And that is our Sunday!

Today we did breakfast at McDonald's - our regular one. Yesterday we had gone to a different one because I dropped my van off to get the oil changed, and there is a McDonald's right next to Firestone. It was rather weird using that McDonald's. Normally I get a sausage mcmuffin with cheese and I can get a combo (a drink and a hashbrown) for only $1 more. If I get the sausage, egg, and cheese mcmuffin, not only is the sandwich $2.50 more, the combo to add (same items, mind you) is $2.59 (or thereabouts). So by not getting the egg on the sandwich, I save about $4.00. At least at the McDonald's we normally use, which is on Hwy 49, just south of where I live. The one out on Hardy Street will let you order the sausage mcmuffin with cheese, but it won't let you add a combo at all. Now this is ordering through the kiosk, I've no idea how ordering at the register would work for that. Also at that same McDonald's, a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit is $4.10, while just a sausage and egg biscuit is $4.14. Like, really, it's 4¢ more to get it without cheese? Very strange!
