On The 17th Day of HalloweenThursday, October 17, 2024 On the seventeenth day of Halloween, my true love gave to me 17 skulls a'flamin', 16 Wednesday Addams a'dancin', 15 bonfires a'burnin', 14 shirtless sorcerers casting, 13 phantoms floating, 12 eyeballs a'staring, 11 Red Eye Louie Vodquilas, 10 fireball spells whirling, 9 hellhounds snarling, 8 ghosts a hauntin', 7 witches stirring, 6 skeletons clacking, 5 crows a'murderin', 4 ghouls a'dancin', 3 spiders spinning, 2 zombies running, and a vulture in the Halloween tree! Welcome to Thursday, one and all! I hope the downhill slope of the week is treating everyone well! Tomorrow is Friyay and the weekend right on our doorstep!Yesterday was pretty uneventful in my life, other than making a second bank run in 2 days for the store. Normally I only hit the bank on Tuesday and Friday, but when I went Tuesday, it was the day after Columbus Day, so it was like 2 Mondays rolled into one. By the time I got to the teller, time had run out and all I could do was get change, so yesterday I had to go make the deposits. They have a teller who is very similar to our "problem" at work, who's been there about as long as our "problem" has been, and who is about as far along as our "problem". If she weren't married, I'd introduce them, but that courtship would probably take a couple of decades before either of them moved it along lol. Yes, I know, I'm being mean, and both are great people, they're just both very slow to do anything or to catch on to anything. Oh well, I should move on lol. It was cold this morning! Colder than yesterday morning, and I am ashamed to admit I had to turn my heat on. It was for Cooper! Yes, that's it, for Cooper! He was freezing! Haha! It's awesome that Fall weather has actually shown up in South Mississippi! It won't last, but it's nice. I wore long pants to work yesterday, although I regretted it - I got way too hot at work, so today it'll definitely be shorts. Although I have to admit, when I left work last night, I was grateful for the long pants. Speaking of last night, I got to thinking about Maggie on my drive home. I think it finally hit me for reals. I pretty much cried the entire way home. I miss my sweet Maggie so much, but I know she's in a better place and no longer suffering. Let's not end on a sad note.
