On The 12th Day of HalloweenSaturday, October 12, 2024 On the twelth day of Halloween, my true love gave to me 12 eyeballs a'staring, 11 Red Eye Louie Vodquilas, 10 fireball spells whirling, 9 hellhounds snarling, 8 ghosts a hauntin', 7 witches stirring, 6 skeletons clacking, 5 crows a'murderin', 4 ghouls a'dancin', 3 spiders spinning, 2 zombies running, and a vulture in the Halloween tree! It's Saturday! Hooyah! Although of course this is my weekend to work, so I work 12-8 today. Yesterday, I took a quick run home to take care of Cooper on my insanely-long day, and wow! I walked into a true shit-storm in his crate! It was everywhere! And of course in the middle of trying to do that, I get a text that the delivery truck is there, and in the message, Ken indicated that the order was 3 boxes short of what we were expecting. I pushed into panic mode and cleaned as quickly as I could, gave up any idea of trying to eat something, and nearly killed myself trying to get back before the truck left. I'd texted telling Ken not to let them leave until I arrived so I could figure out where those 3 missing boxes might be, but when I pulled up, of course the truck was gone. When I got back inside, though, I learned that were were not missing any boxes, but actually had 2 surprises. Ken had missed counting 5 boxes, but then ignored my texting and didn't bother telling me. 🙄Anyway, Ian and Steve will be shopping whilst I am working, starting with the Sam's pickup for Steve's restaurant groceries. When I get off work, we plan to go to Don Chuy's for dinner, since it's right next door to my work. Looking forward to it!
