Two Goats and a Donkey!Wednesday, November 22, 2023 Hello hello hello! Been a very busy few days in my life. Monday I ended up working 12 hours in a split shift - I worked 6:30am-10:30am, then again from 1:00pm-9:00pm. I was thoroughly exhausted! Then yesterday was busy, so I wore myself out a bit at work there too, especially since I worked the 10:00am-6:00pm shift and had arrived at 9:30am to start the day off. I'm working a little later today, my more-usual 1:00pm-9:00pm shift. It's nice not being rushed this morning! My Steve is on his way to Arkansas today for the holiday. I'll miss him this weekend. Ian is on his way to Texas for the holiday as well. I was planning on going to see my family tomorrow, since the store will be closed this year for Thanksgiving, but several people in the family have the flu, and I just can't afford to catch that this year. But that's ok, I can certainly use tomorrow as a full day of rest! The Christmas season shopping will be gearing up soon and that's always a headache! But we'll get through it this year just like we did last! I've been looking at the blog sites I've done over the years on Blogger and thought I'd share them here if anyone is interested in what I used to do lol. The first one I put together was the renovation blog when I bought the house and Steve and I started doing the renovations to it. That blog can be found here. It's the one I worked on the most, the one that I dedicated quite a bit of time and resources to. The hilarious thing is my house is still a work in progress, we have finished nothing lol. But it's ok, as long as it's livable, I don't care if it's finished or not. It's fun, though, going back and looking at the things we accomplished. The next blog I did was when I started my spiritual journey to find God again. For over 30 years, I had considered myself a Pagan, although honestly I was more of an atheist who felt the need to believe in something, but those calling themselves Christians drove me away from God himself. But finally Steve started me on a path of divine discovery and I once more found God. That journey can be viewed here. And finally, when I decided to become a quail farmer, I of course started a blog about that, but it really only has like 2 entries to it lol. If you want to see that, it's here. Ok, now on to the pictures below. The first one is from many years ago and is of Steve and myself. We've shared to much, and yet as recent months have shown, so little. But we're on our way to sharing more, I think. Time will tell! The next one is a side-by-side of Steve from 2006 and again in 2017. Eleven years difference made all the difference! Then there's a picture of Connor and me, then one of Lloyd and Curt. Lloyd is Connor's brother, and I've always had a little crush on him. 🙃 Next is a fortune that I got last weekend when Steve, Shane, and I ate at Panda Express. I wonder who it could mean? Next is a picture of a circular I got in the mail yesterday. Candied bacon? I'd never even heard of it! Sounds delicious and disgusting at the same time! On Friday, November 10, my debit card was compromised, and a new card was to be sent to me. As of today, I still haven't received it, so I went to chat online with my bank. They're trying to tell me it's going to take 7-10 business days for it to arrive through the mail. They say they sent it on the 13th, so I asked how they sent it, via carrier pigeon? I also haven't had the scammed money refunded into my account yet, and they claim that will happen Friday. We shall see. The last two images are of Pietro Boselli, a beautiful Italian model who is also a physics professor/math teacher. I'll spotlight him in a future entry here. And last is just an image I came across that I thought was just so hot that I had to post it here and see if it melted anyone's screens! Haha, but really, it is hot. Ok friends, it's time to wrap this up! Have a fantastic day, a great Thanksgiving tomorrow if you celebrate it, and I'll talk to you soon! George |
