Two Goats and a Donkey!

Monday, August 26, 2024

It's Monday yet again! I hope the weekend treated everyone very well! I had my usual ups and downs this weekend, but I didn't have to work Saturday, so that definitely balanced everything else out! We went to Mobile Saturday, and spent a pleasant day together going to the antique store on Schillinger, then on over to the B&B Pet Stop on Cottage Hills. Not all of the day was pleasant, but I'll get into that shortly. At the antique store, I found a couple of things that I really liked and ended up getting. One is a piece of petrified wood that almost looks like a bone, that also kind of looks like a knife. I joked that it would be a perfect murder weapon! I carried it around for a bit, then put it back, but then decided at the last minute that I would go ahead and get it. I also found an EAPG banana boat on a stand that is in the Broken Column pattern. Broken Column was reproduced, but from what I can tell, never reproduced in the banana boat shape and the piece also has extensive wear on the bottom. So I'm 100% sure it's an original. Broken Column was introduced in 1893, so that would make it 131 years old. It's in excellent condition for its age!

After the antique shop, we went to lunch at Krystal, which was arguably the worst Krystal I've ever had, and then we went to a strip mall, and each of us went into a different store. Steve was going to go into Ulta Beauty, but changed his mind, so he and I went into PetSmart while Ian went into a Ross. Just before all of this, I was stuck in a car aisle and couldn't go forward, so I decided to go back. I put the car into reverse, checked all my mirrors carefully, and slowly started to back up. I then saw a woman and child start to cross behind me and slammed on my brakes as the woman snatched the child back by the arm. She and I then had a few words before I backed up and found a parking spot. Anyway, I got a few things at PetSmart, while Steve and Ian went to Ulta so he could try and find his mom a birthday gift. After that, we went on to B&B Pet Stop, which is a wonderful pet store in Mobile. They have such an extensive selection of pets and items! I almost got a mouse lol, but decided against it since I already have Maggie (my cat), Cooper (my puppy), Whiskey and Rye (my parakeets), and a 75 gallon aquarium. Ian asked me if I was planning to fill my house with animals lol. And honestly, I would love to! But obviously that won't be happening! Maggie already is feeling neglected because of the time I spend with Cooper, who chases her (wanting to play) when she tries to enter the living room. She doesn't care for his paws-on approach to play, so she loudly complains and runs off. Anyway, there were parrots and other birds, mice and other rodents, rabbits, guinea pigs, retiles, and lots and lots of fish, both fresh water and salt water. I bought a few things for my parakeets and a couple things for Cooper.

After B&B, we went to Marshall's, where Ian looked for dolls and where I found 2 fall/Halloweeny hand soaps I want to get, but the lines were so long, that we ented up not getting anything there. From there, we drove home, where I was able to spend a little time with Cooper before we went to meet up with Cathy, Blaise, Shane, Jimmy, and Hugh for dinner at Walk-Ons restaurant. We all had a great time there, and then we went to Walmart, then to Krispy Kreme for doughnuts before heading home again. Sunday we did a little shopping, had lunch, and then Steve and Ian went home.

There are 36 pictures below. The first 2 are from the antique store. I would like to draw/paint the chicken in the picture, and then there's an image of the petrified piece of wood I got. The next 4 images are from the pet shop, including the mouse I almost got. Next is a group picture of Steve, Ian, and myself waiting for a table at Walk-Ons, then there are 6 pictures from Krispy Kreme. The Chicken in a Biscuit box is from Dollar General after lunch on Sunday, which I haven't had those in a couple decades now. And then all the remaining pics are of Cooper-Boo, whom I'm mad at right now lol. He peed and pooped on the living room carpet instead of on his puppy pads. I had to spank him, while showing him what he did wrong, and that just breaks my heart having to do that. I would much rather give him positive reinforcement, but that's hard to do when he doesn't go where he should.

As before, I separated the male model pictures onto a second page, click here to see the eye candy. Enjoy!

Ok, there we go, the weekend recap! Have a great rest of the week, folks! Love y'all!
